Studying Eastern philosophies helps me on my path to health and wellness. I use acupuncture, herbal medicine, lifestyle and dietary counseling to treat physical and emotional conditions. I employ an integrative, holistic approach to medicine and am willing to communicate with patient’s medical providers to ensure continuity of care.
In my practice I enjoy working with chronic pain, chronic conditions, and women's health. Struggling with chronic pain often leaves us to manage our lives on our own, and pressured to make our own medical decisions. This experience can be challenging and daunting if you are already presented with the daily experience of chronic pain. My treatments include customised strategies in order to help with daily living and wellness, exercise and stress reduction techniques, and chronic pain coaching.
My interest in Eastern philosophy led me to study Traditional Chinese Medicine at the New England School of Acupuncture. There I received my Master's degree of Oriental Medicine in the study of Chinese and Japanese acupuncture styles. Before studying acupuncture and Chinese herbal medicine, I was a Clinical Social Worker in crisis counseling and case management with adults and children. I then began working with Deaf and Hard of Hearing adults with mental illness and developmental disabilities which led to becoming a US Nationally Certified American Sign Language Medical Interpreter. I enjoy staying healthy with yoga, dancing, meditation, hiking and exercise.
