I have a particular interest in women’s health, chronic pain, chronic conditions, digestive imbalances and immune related disorders. Struggling with chronic illness leaves us managing discomfort on our own and pressured to make important medical decisions. This is challenging and daunting. My treatments look at all aspects of living that impact your quality of life, especially when you don’t know where else to turn.
My background:
Master’s degree in Traditional Chinese Medicine at the New England School of Acupuncture (Boston Massachusetts), in Chinese and Japanese acupuncture styles, and Chinese herbal medicine. I am a diplomate and life long learner in post graduate advanced studies in Classical Chinese Medicine.
Before Chinese medicine, I was a Clinical Social Worker in crisis counseling, community case management and hospital emergency settings. I then worked with Deaf and Hard of Hearing adults with mental illness and developmental disabilities which led me to American Sign Language medical interpreting.
I am currently practicing Chinese medicine on the Sunshine Coast in Queensland Australia.
